Fashion Roundup: Venice Film Festival 2021
The ceremony of red carpets has taken a dramatic turn in the past year to put it lightly. In a “Post-Covid” idealism, glamour has returned and with it the flair of cinema elite and a bevy of thunderous hits and underwhelming misses.
Film festival season is a personal favorite of mine, the actresses swanning down a runway of red in couture while adorned with camera flashes at every angle while also having a romantic and recherché scenic backdrop.
Following in the footsteps of its French counterpart, The Cannes Film Festival, The Venice Film Festival offered another surge of escapism against a torrid culture around the world for a moment. The girls showed out and the boys surprisingly too, almost by some impulsion for the sake of actually putting whimsy into look instead of a standard suit.
Below I list my favorite looks of the week and some you may not have seen.
